For GCSE or other large chemistry classes, TCS' semi-mobile ducted fume cupboards enable demonstrations where students can view the experiment from all angles. The unit is on castors and can be moved up to 2m before being locked into position using a docking station. When lessons are over, it can be moved back against a wall.
The docking station is a robust lockable enclosure housing water, gas, drainage and power connections which enable quick-release connections when the semi-mobile fume cupboard is moved.
The semi-mobile ducted fume cupboard provides 100% exhaust to the atmosphere by PVC ductwork and removes any concerns on filter degradation over time after usage. You can also benefit from low running costs as it doesn't require annual filter replacements or consumable changes.
All of TCS’ educational fume cupboards are designed in accordance with CLEAPSS Guide G9 – Fume Cupboards in Schools (Revision of DfEE Building Bulletin 88) and independently tested and passed by CLEAPSS.
