Plastic Fabricator/ Welder

We are currently looking for a Plastic Fabricator/Welder to join a growing team, plastic welding fume cabinets and assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company.

As part of this skilled team, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of an integral business function, which in turn, will make a positive impact on our organisation as a whole.

This is a permanent full time role, Monday – Thursday 7am – 3.30pm and Friday 7am – 1pm but part time is also available.

Location

Our clean, bright 63,000 sq.ft site in Heywood, Lancashire is the largest containment factory in the North West, just minutes from the M66 and M62. We have invested £1m in our facility, with state of the art machinery and great staff facilities including showers, canteen and plenty of on-site parking.

Your Role

As a Plastic Fabricator/Welder, your role will include:

• Plastic welding fume cabinets in line with CAD drawings
• Form mold plastic parts for enclosure products
• Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company
• Using static machinery, power tools and general hand tools in the assembly as required
• Working to achieve the required installation programme and manufacturing output
• Working in a safe manner, achieving the acceptable level of quality
• Notifying the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
• Liaising with other teams to ensure acceptable throughput in the factory
• Ensuring all test certificates and serial number logs are completed and kept up to date
• Occasional travel to work at client sites across the UK
• Completing projects successfully and following instructions from your manager

About You

To join us, you will need:

• Previous Plastic welding experience, however product training will be given
• Good attention to detail
• To be able to work as part of a team and independently
• A driving licence
