Our next 2 Rapid Gassing Isolators have been installed in their new NHS Aseptic Pharmacy Unit (APU) home in Portsmouth.

These 4-glove positive pressure isolators will be used for cytotoxic and biological preparations. Finished in fully polished stainless-steel, each features a Rapid Transfer Port (RTP) for safe transfer of components, products and waste. Their validated automated rapid decontamination cycle takes less than 30 minutes (depending on load).

Designed to comply with Annex 1 of the Rules Governing Medicinal Products in the European Union Volume 4 EU Guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products for Humans and Veterinary Use, they suit the future potential for MHRA licensing of the facility.

This installation is a significant milestone for the APU and we’re proud of the many members of our team have played their part in the process.
