Employees And Their Families

The business is a member of the Living Wage Foundation where it has committed to paying a living wage to all employees, whilst providing security and stability to their working hours.
SDG – 1 No Poverty, 3 Good Health & Wellbeing

Envair Technology also offers a salary sacrifice nursery vouchers scheme to support staff with their early years childcare costs. The company recognises that this cost can place financial strain on our employees and their families, and that in many cases this is a barrier to women re-entering the workplace.
SDG – 1 No Poverty, 5 Gender Equality

Envair Technology is a supporter of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter which aims to support employers in the area to improve employment standards throughout its framework. The charter encompasses the following pillars:

  1. Secure Work – We commit to giving our employees clarity over the hours they work and not to use unnecessary forms of insecure employment, so they have more security over their income and can manage their work and non-work commitments more easily.
SDG – 1 No Poverty, 8 Decent Work & Economic Growth
  2. Pay – We will pay or work toward paying the Real Living Wage set at the level recommended by the Living Wage Foundation, so our employees can achieve a decent standard of living and that we, as employers, can benefit from better retention and workforce engagement, with the savings that brings.
SDG – 1 No Poverty, 8 Decent Work & Economic growth
  3. Recruitment – We commit to developing excellent recruitment practices so we as employers can take full advantage of the diversity and talents across all Greater Manchester communities through transparent, inclusive and fair processes, engaging with schools, further education and higher education providers and employment programmes, making sure our staff have opportunities to continually develop and use their skills and experience.
    SDG – 5 Gender Equality
  4. Health & Wellbeing – We support the mental and physical health of all our employees, including adjustments for people with long-term conditions and disabilities, delivering high standards of health and safety in the workplace, and so reducing the costs of absences and providing the benefits of a more diverse workforce.
    SDG – 3 Good Health & Wellbeing
  5. Flexible Work – We will give employees the opportunity to work flexibly wherever possible, providing greater equality of opportunity, creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace and helping us make better use of the skills and talents of our workforce.
    SDG – 3 Good Health & Wellbeing
  6. Engagement & Voice – We commit to establishing methods of feedback so that our staff can fully contribute to the direction and success of our organisation and shape their roles, with recognised trade unions facilitating the expression of the employees’ collective voice where possible, building effective employee engagement activity and with support from relevant professional bodies.
    SDG – 3 Good Health & Wellbeing
  7. People Management – We value all our employees and will develop fair and inclusive workplaces, investing in the training and development of the workforce, including managers, and inspiring and motivating staff to make sure we are a successful and high performing organisation.
SDG – 8 Decent Work & Economic Growth, 16 Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions

Envair Technology has implemented an electric vehicle (EV) salary sacrifice scheme. Our carbon footprint calculations identified emissions resulting from employee commuting activities and alongside our cycle to work scheme, the EV scheme gives employees and affordable opportunity to change their vehicle to and electric vehicle. The scheme is accessible to the majority of employees due to the features of how it operates.

Wider Community

Local Community Recruitment

Envair Technology actively recruits from the local area, working with Rochdale Training College for apprenticeships and Rochdale Council on getting people into work initiatives. As part of our Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter work, we are reviewing other opportunities, including working with local schools and colleges on careers information and safari days. We also offer work experience and this can be applied for when opportunities are available.
SDG – 8 Decent Work & Economic Growth, 5 Gender Equality

Suppliers Relationships

Many of our suppliers are located within the Greater Manchester and Lancashire regions and we support trading with local suppliers where possible. We have a Supplier Code of Conduct that we distribute to our suppliers setting out our expectations on ethical behaviour within our supply chain.

In addition, we have surveyed our suppliers to ask them about their own processes and are engaging with them to understand more about the requirements they themselves have of their own supply chain. By engaging in this way we hope to strengthen relationships and enable Envair Technology to improve both the reporting of its Scope 3 carbon emissions and gain additional comfort over the ethical standing of our full supply chain.
SDG – 12 Responsible Consumption & Production

Community Engagement

We support local causes through fund-raising and donations and support staff in their fundraising or volunteering activities. This may be via collections from the workplace, donations to sponsored events or support for clubs and organisations that our employees are involved with. Each individual activity is review and supported where possible, with new opportunities sought too.
