Site Fitter

We are currently looking for a Site Fitter to join us working within a growing team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor you will support with the installation of fume cupboards and ductwork/extract systems, in new build/refurbishment environments. You’ll be working on either construction sites or within client’s existing laboratories.

Location

Our clean, bright 63,000 sq.ft site in Heywood, Lancashire is the largest containment factory in the North West, just minutes from the M66 and M62. We have invested £1m in our facility, with state of the art machinery and great staff facilities including showers, canteen and plenty of on-site parking. This role involves travel to customer sites within the UK as required to install company products.

Your Role

As Skilled Mechanical Fitter, your role will include:

• Carrying out the installation of Envair Technology's in-house manufactured fume cupboards and associated ductwork/fume extractions systems
• General assembly duties alongside our production team
• Travel across to customer sites within the UK as required to install company products.

About You

For this role, you will need the following education, experience and attributes as a minimum:

• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) – Desirable
• Full driving license
• Previous experience working on Construction sites
• Excellent experience/knowledge of using hand and power tools
• Be willing to travel to sites across the UK - often working away from home from Monday-Friday, with occasion weekend work
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Be confident and able to work on own initiative
• Good team working and interpersonal skills
• Excellent standards of workmanship, with adherence to Health and Safety
• A keenness to learn and develop with a positive approach to work
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance
